I have decided to change my question to one which involved the Second World War, as this is the area of history in which I am most knowledgeable.

MY NEW QUESTION:
“To what extent was the Soviet Union responsible for the Allied Victory in Europe?”

CONSIDERATIONS:
Contribution of lend-lease to the USSR’s war effort, December 1941-September 1945.
Contribution of the strategic bombing campaign to the weakening of German industry, September 1939-May 1945
Contribution of the Second Front to the ultimate defeat of the Wehrmacht, June 1944 – May 1945.

QUOTES:
“As a matter of historical fact, the Third Reich was defeated by the Red Army and not by the Western democracies.”

  1. get rid of the capital v for victory in the question as it is a common noun. The change of question is fine.
